After we clear your space, you may wonder what happens to all of the items we removed. In short, we dispose of, recycle or donate everything that enters our truck. Here is how we do that: Sorting After we have hand loaded everything in our truck and driven away, we sort through the items based on type, always being sure to separate them as they are loaded into the truck. We organize our removal loads into three categories: trash, recycle, or hazardous materials. Recycling Items that are able to be recycled are separated from the garbage and taken to a recycle center or scrapyard to be properly recycled. These items would include metals, cardboard, and some plastic and glass. Hazardous Waste When we remove hazardous waste such as fluorescent lightbulbs, paints, or oil, it has to be taken to a special hazardous waste facility to be disposed of safely. Some paints, depending on the type, have to be taken to specific locations to be recycled. Donation process Items we can take for donation can vary greatly and often we would have to make an in person assessment in order to determine what can be donated and what has to be junked. However, due to the uncertain aspects of donation, we bid our donations loads the same as if it were a junk load to be removed. Items we can't donate include heavily used or damaged items, most furniture (including mattresses), and mixed loads of garbage and donation items (unless they can be separated). Waste dumping process The items left behind after our sorting that can only be disposed of as trash are taken to a waste facility, such as a transfer station or dump. Once there, the items are weighed and assessed for cost before we unload and separate accordingly. In conclusion, it can be a long process to remove and dispose of unwanted junk items from your home or business. Don't go through the hassle of trying to handle it all yourself. If you need a hand, call Clear Space Junk Removal, and we can handle all the rest.

Once you have called us at Clear Space Junk Removal, and been scheduled, there isn't always much to do but wait for us to arrive within the scheduled time slot. Sometimes however that isn't the case, and if you are wondering how to prepare for our arrival here are a few tips. Gather all of the items into one place if possible. Sometimes it isn't possible to gather the items especially if scattered on a property or too heavy and that's ok! We can handle the removal regardless, as long as you can direct us to what needs to be taken. 2. Prepare special items for removal. Some items take more care and preparation than others. Such as a lawnmower which would need to be emptied of gasoline before we arrive, or paint buckets that need to be secured or checked for leaks. If you do not know how to empty the gas out of your weed whacker or lawn mower, we are happy to help you once we arrive. 3. Know what is being removed. It is easy to forget what items are going and staying and often it can change. If you want to add items to the removal after you have been scheduled and bid please feel free to do so. However, if the items are large or they change the removal enough for a rebid then the price will be updated based on how many items are added. In the same way that if you change your mind, we are happy to take a smaller removal load and adjust the price accordingly. 4. Wait for our call. On the day of your removal pick up, our team will give you a heads up call about 30 minutes before they arrive. It isn't important that you answer or return the call but it helps us know whether you are ready for us to arrive. 5. Sit back and relax. Once our team arrives, we can handle the rest and all you have left to do is decide what to with your freshly cleared spaces.

At Clear Space Junk Removal we understand that 'junk' means a lot of things. Most things you can think of are items that we take, but we have a few exceptions. Here is what we do not accept: We cannot accept cars, trailers, or R.Vs in any condition. For services involving cars, R.Vs or anything with a license plate, we recommend contacting an auto wrecker in your area. But as for junk removal, that's too much for us to handle, not including the smaller parts and pieces such as seats and tires if they are already removed from the car. Furthermore, we cannot accept unlabeled or opened chemicals and paints. When it comes to hazardous material such as paint and chemicals, we need to know what we are handling in order to dispose of it safely and responsibly. We require clearly readable labels to be present on said items in order for us to remove the item. It is also important for our workers safety that all paints and chemicals are completely sealed shut in such a manner it cannot spill or leak. These are requirements to meet in order for us to remove your hazardous material and if they are all met, we are happy to provide you with our hazardous waste removal services! We cannot accept loose dirt, grass, or sod. When it comes to yard waste, we can only remove what can be reasonably bagged and carried unless it is all yard waste that can be disposed of as such without sorting out any trash. This excludes all dirt, mud, sod, water, or grass. Closed drums, barrels, and gas-powered items with gas still inside are not accepted by Clear Space. In order to service a removal, we need to know exactly what items and contents we are dealing with. We cannot accept closed or full drums/barrels regardless of the contents unless it can be opened and emptied pre-removal. If you have a gas-powered item that you need removed, we would be happy to help you out but first, it has to be emptied on your property before we can remove it. Piano removal is not a service that we offer. No matter the size of the item, it may be heavier than it looks, and a piano mover has the right equipment to do so safely. If you need a piano removed, we recommend contacting a local piano moving service. We do not accept any explosives or bullets. No exceptions. Dead animals larger than a house cat cannot be removed by Clear Space Junk removal and for such needs we recommend contacting animal control. In conclusion, there are only a handful of items we do not accept and now you know what they are. So, previous items excluded, if you need a junk removal, give us a call or visit our website to schedule!
